Irrigation land for iconic bridge on River Krishna
Irrigation department has expressed willingness to contribute its land at Ibrahimpatnam in Krishna district near confluence of Krishna and Godavari rivers for the construction of iconic bridge on River Krishna which connects Amaravati with Hyderabad highway.

In a meeting at Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) in Vijayawada on Friday, Chief Engineer of Central Designs Organisation of Irrigation department Giridhar Reddy told the ADC Chairman D Lakshmi Parthasardhi that the Irrigation department would extend all possible help to ADC in executing various infrastructure projects in the capital city area.
Both the officers discussed about the construction of prestigious iconic bridge and Giridhar Reddy clarified that there were no objections from the side of Irrigation department.
ADC chairman Lakshmi Parthasardhi said that greenery would be developed at the surroundings of iconic bridge as part of efforts to make the area as tourist attractive spot.
She also explained Krishna river front area and irrigation canals in the city would also be beautified by developing greenery.
ADC chief engineer Moses Kumar and others participated.
