Pigs maul 65-yr-old woman
A 65-year-old woman who tried to save a boy from being mauled by a drove of pigs received severe injuries when they attacked her instead at Ayyappaguid centre in Kavali town on Friday. The pigs initially tried to attack a 3-year-old boy moving in the area and Bibijan and Bibijan, went to his rescue.

The annoyed pigs then turned on the woman even as locals tried to rescue her. The boy also received injuries in the incident. Passersby pelted stones at the pigs and saved the woman. She was shifted to area hospital for treatment.
Local people said they were facing pig menace for many years in city and there has been no action from the municipal authorities. Kacherimitta residents complain that hundreds of pigs freely roam the city with authorities doing nothing.
