The stipend would be somewhere between Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000, he said.Addressing a press conference here on Friday, the Minister said that the government would hold two more meetings to finalise the modalities of the scheme. Differentiation of categories on the basis of education like Intermediate and degree was also discussed. “We are also studying schemes being implemented in Brazil and Sri Lanka,” he added.

Coming down heavily on YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the Minister said Jagan was more harmful than ISIS. He was inciting students and youth against the TDP government in the wake of by-election for Nandyal. The government was already providing employment to youth through Skill Development Corporation. For the benefit of the unemployed, the government had released Rs 500 crore. Another Rs 500 crore would be released soon to provide stipend to the unemployed, he elaborated.

Stating that the State government had been implementing its election manifesto, Ravindra said Jagan was indulging in senseless statements like ‘CM Naidu should be shot down’ and ‘CM must be hanged’. These utterances of the Leader of Opposition were undemocratic. In fact, Jagan was trying to create law and order problem and postpone the election as he had no guts to face Nandyal by-poll, he said.

“Jagan is trying to divide people on the lines of caste and region as the voters are ready to give their mandate to the TDP candidate. People have recognised Jagan as a model for corruption and irregularities. The government is providing remunerative price to farmer and Rs 10,000 crore to DWCRA groups.

Even it is helping Kapus, Brahmins and other backward families in forward castes. Polavaram will help divert water to north Andhra. It is already supplying water to Seema through Pattiseema project. The people should be alert and watch how Jagan is behaving. They should support CM Naidu,” he requested.
