The SC Corporation executive officer T Prema Kumari distributed the Mileage Maharaja award and prizes to the seven drivers whose vehicles recorded the best mileage.

Ongole: The local TVS three-wheeler dealer MK Automotives organised a sensitisation camp and Mileage Maharaja competition for the TVS auto drivers here on Sunday. The SC Corporation executive officer T Prema Kumari distributed the Mileage Maharaja award and prizes to the seven drivers whose vehicles recorded the best mileage.

As a part of the competition, the autos were fixed a kit with 400 ml diesel in it and allotted a route of 7.5 km to complete the drive. The drivers are asked to drive the vehicle as they do on any ordinary day. The vehicles, which save more fuel is Mileage Maharaja, said the representatives of the company.

S Raman, AP and Telangana sales manager, said, “The customers have perceptions about the mileage and they do not know what the real mileage of their vehicle is. TVS autos are best in mileage in the class and give about 42 kmpl mileage under normal traffic conditions.” N Srikanth, AP and Telangana service manager, said, “We are trying to reconfirm the superiority of the vehicle that the customer owns. With tips we are giving, the drivers can achieve the best mileage and save fuel.”

Thota Mallikharjuna, proprietor of the MK Automotives, said, “Apart from the competition and service camp, we want the auto drivers to be safe drivers. So, we are sensitising them on the traffic rules and the problems of drunken driving.”

The executive officer of SC Corporation, T Prema Kumari, distributed the prizes to the winners of the Mileage Maharaja award and uniforms to all participating drivers. She asked the drivers to keep the roads safe by following traffic rules.
