Ghantasala to be developed as tourist spot

District Collector B Lakshmikantham said Ghantasala village in Krishna district would be developed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore as a tourist centre. He, along with Joint Collector Gandham Chandrudu and tourism department officials, released the design of the Buddha Project at his camp office.

He, along with Joint Collector Gandham Chandrudu and tourism department officials, released the design of the Buddha Project at his camp office.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said Ghantasala is one of the historical and prominent Buddhist sites in Krishna district and it would be developed as a tourist spot. He said a giant statue of Gautam Buddha would be installed as part of the development works.
