Vijayawada: A two –day- eighth annual conference of Asian Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology began here on Saturday. It was organised under the aegis of Sibar Dental College of Guntur.
Andhra Pradesh Director of Medical Education (Academic) Dr Babji inaugurated the event and explained the importance of new research methods to prevent throat cancer.
Apart from India, about 250 representatives from Malasiya, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal presented research papers on the occasion.
Oral Pathology International Association president Dr Tilakaratne, Asian Oral Pathology president Dr Rojna Binty Jain, Honorary Secretary and Conference Organising Chairman Dr Ranganathan Kannan, Sibar Dental College Dean Dr L Krishna Prasad and conference organising secretary Dr BV Ramana Reddy attended the programme.
