Nandyal DSP transferred

On the instructions of the Election Commission (EC), DGP N Sambasiva Rao has transferred Nandyal DSP SV Gopala Krishna and asked him to report to District Superintendent of Police (SP) Gopinath Jetti on late Friday night. In place of Gopala Krishna, OSD Ravi Prakash was handed over the additional responsibilities.

The YSRCP leaders filed a complaint to the EC alleging that the DSP was intentionally harassing party activists at the behest of TDP leaders. Acting on the complaint of the YSRCP, the EC directed the DGP to transfer DSP and hand over responsibilities to another police official.
