Photographers told to focus on civic issues
Acharya Nagarjuna University Dean K Sambasiva Rao on Saturday said photographers should have social responsibility and their photos should reflect people’s problems.
Guntur: Acharya Nagarjuna University Dean K Sambasiva Rao on Saturday said photographers should have social responsibility and their photos should reflect people’s problems.
Addressing a meeting held under the aegis of Acharya Nagarjuna University, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, on the occasion of International Photography Day, he appealed to photographers to update their skills to excel in the profession. He also said that the photographers work on people’s problems will get name and fame.
Journalism and Mass Communications Coordinator Dr Anita stressed on need to update techniques to excel in photography. Later, varsity dean Sambasiva Rao inaugurated the photo exhibition. Earlier he garlanded the portrait of father of photography Louis Daguerre and paid tributes. ANU teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
