He said the TDP would surely in Nandyal and “A1 wicket will fall there” and in Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KC) poll too the party would win a majority divisions thanks to many developmental works in the city.
The minister said that more than any other city in the state, 34,000 houses were sanctioned to Kakinada and Rs 3 lakh subsidy was being given for each house. Further, the TDP government is regularising house sites below 100 yards free of cost.
He said TDP had a right to asking votes from the people for bringing putting the new state on the track despite the financial losses inflicted by the bifurcation. The civil supplies minister said that the government was selling onions through Rythu Bazars at Rs 22 a kg in the wake of sudden rise in prices.
Home minister Chinarajappa, answering a question on rebel candidates, clarified that efforts were on to persuade the rebels to withdraw from contest in the nine seats allotted to alliance partners BJP. He also said that some BJP candidates too filed nominations in TDP wards.
TDP district president Namana Rambabu, Rajanagaram MLA Venkatesh, DCCB chairman Raja were also present at the press conference.
