Union Minister opens new temple kitchen

Visakhapatnam: Union Minister for Civil Aviation and hereditary trustee P Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated new ‘Paakasaala’ (modern kitchen) at Simhachalam temple on Saturday.

This new kitchen will prepare food that is offered to presiding deity daily and not for public. The kitchen is attached to the main temple. “We want to develop the temple as a model for all the temples in the country,’’ said Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

All the amenities for the devotees are also being spruced up, he said. Later, he performed puja and had darshan of God. Zilla Parishad Chairperson Lalam Bhavani , executive officer of the temple K Ramachandra Mohan were present.
