Nandyal: The YSR Congress Party has accused the ruling TDP of violating the model code of conduct umpteen number of times after the notification of Nandyal by-poll was issued.

The YSRCP has compiled a 38-page summary of the violations and gave details with documentation to highlight the alleged misuse of official machinery and other such violations. Some of the alleged violations include inauguration of welfare schemes, distribution of sewing machines and other material including cash.

“In some places cash and material were distributed for the inauguration/renovation/foundation stone for places of worship as well. SC, STs were abused and material was distributed defaming the Leader of Opposition through a pamphlet which does not carry the mandatory name of Printer and Publisher. These and many other blatant violations were recorded ever since the model code of conduct has come into force,” the YSRCP said in a press release today.

The YSRCP has sent the summary of violations to the Returning Officer demanding necessary action in accordance with the Representation of People’s Act.
