A merit student since his childhood, Karthik secured 97 per cent in Intermediate and bagged 87th rank in the Eamcet examination. He studied MBBS in the Guntur Medical College.

Later, he studied one year course in medicine in Will Cornell Medical College in New York. Further, he studied five -year Vascular Surgeon course in Pittsburg University in U.S.. While, he was giving a presentation, in a conference in U.S., Stanford University recognized his talent and sent a message to him to apply for the post of Professor.

After conducting three interviews, he was selected and was sent an appointment letter. The offer is for three years, which is extendable if he is interested.

“There are 3,200 vascular surgeons in US. I am very happy at being selected for the post of Vascular Surgeon Professor post in the prestigious Stanford University. I am only the non-American Professor among eleven American professors,” Karthik added. His father Mikkilineni Purushottam is a builder in Guntur city.

The proud father said, “I am very happy that my son Dr Karthik has been selected for the post of Professor in Vascular Surgery Post in the Stanford University in U.S. He is a merit student since his childhood and did hard work.”
