Murder accused killed
An accused in a murder case and rowdy- sheeter was brutally murdered by his rivals at Arilova area of the city on Saturday. They smashed his head with beer bottles and fled the area. He died on the spot.
Visakhapatnam: An accused in a murder case and rowdy- sheeter was brutally murdered by his rivals at Arilova area of the city on Saturday. They smashed his head with beer bottles and fled the area. He died on the spot.
The deceased was identified as S Vinay Sampath (30), who was accused in the murder of Ravi, who was killed five years ago in the same Arilova area. Sampath had stayed sometime at Arilova and shifted to Gajuwaka area, along with his parents two years ago. The case against Sampath was pending in district court in the city and Sampath used to visit Arilova area to meet his friends whenever he attended the court.
On Saturday evening, Sampath had gone to Arilova to meet his friends and consumed liquor. After sometime, Sampath entered into a heated argument with three persons near the liquor shop. The trio beat up Sampath who tried to flee from the spot to save his life. However, they chased him and smashed his head with bottles.
The Arilova police registered a case and investigating. The city police also formed a special team to nab the accused and to prevent the possible gang rivalries following the murder case. It may be recalled that in the past three years three rowdy-sheeters were murdered in gang wars.
