  • Auto feedback system on cleanliness of public toilets will be provided by the municipal officials

In this context, the MCT officials have decided to improve basic amenities and creating facilities to visitors who come to parks in morning and evening.As part of beautification, the MCT Engineering wing has modernised musical fountain with additional attractions for public entertainment at Prakasam Centenary Municipal Park with a cost of Rs 60 lakh.

First-of-its-kind in the temple city, the officials are planning to start food courts in all public parks for the convenience of visitors. As per the commissioner’s directions, the engineering officials have collected feedback from public for comprehensive development of municipal parks.

Based on the feedback, the authorities have called some leading food sellers to set up their outlets in all parks. The MCT will allot site at Prakasam Centenary Park for restaurants and food plazas. These new facilities will be available from coming October. The officials are also creating entertainment amenities like children play areas, Wi-Fi green lounge area, cement benches for seating, clean water facility, solar lightings and e-toilets.

Officials are planning to develop Jagjeevan Ram, Padmavathi and Srinivas Puram parks also in this model. The officials are also going to set up auto feedback centres from public on e-toilets at parks and Mana toilets in the city. The MCT will arrange two auto feedback receiving centres, one at Prakasam Park and other at municipal corporation office.

Authorities are providing four types of buttons like very good, good, not bad, bad on cleanliness at toilets. Public when they are going to use the toilets at that time they can give feedback by pressing the respective buttons. Based on feedback, a message will be sent to concerned sanitary staff for cleaning of toilet.

Speaking to The Hans India, MCT Commissioner C Hari Kiran said, “We have been changing the shape of public parks in a phased manner and creating more facilities, entertainment attractions and food courts for citizens. Our motto is to create entertainment infrastructure in all parks and maintain cleanliness in public toilets located in parks and other places of the city.”
