A teacher beat up a Class-IX student at Kollivalasa Gurukulam School at Burja mandal in the district on Monday. The teacher was identified as Trinadha Rao who teaches physical science and student, T Ajay Kumar. Srikakulam: A teacher beat up a Class-IX student at Kollivalasa Gurukulam School at Burja mandal in the district on Monday. The teacher was identified as Trinadha Rao who teaches physical science and student, T Ajay Kumar. Going into details, the physical science teacher received a complaint against the student that he was stealing water buckets. The teacher imposed a penalty of Rs 100 on the student without verifying facts.
As the student refused to pay the amount, the teacher expressed his ire against Ajay by caning him harshly on Saturday evening. The frightened student ran away to his house at Pakivalasa village in Kotabommali mandal from the hostel.
The student’s father, who was highly distressed complained to the local SFI leaders. They, in turn, complained to Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy at grievances cell on Monday, who assured them that action would be taken against the teacher.
