Kadapa: CPM state secretary and former Rajya Sabha member P Madhu has warned that his party is going launch an agitation if district administration fails to take back the lands from the landlords and hand over them to the original beneficiaries of Savisettypalle village in Kasinayana mandal.
Speaking to the media after inspecting the lands on Monday, the CPM leader alleged that around 18,000 acres in Savisettypalle and Akkimguntla villages were illegally occupied by local landlords. He said that despite district administration is aware of the issue but failed to take back lands as the local revenue officials have colluded with politicians.
He said that thousands of acres in Kadapa district were under illegal occupation. He said that the CPM will fight till justice is rendered to original beneficiaries. CPM district secretary Anjaneyulu and other party leaders were present.
