Guntur: Union Minister for Medical and Health JP Nadda inaugurated Rural Health Training Centre, lecturers gallery and a hostel for medical students in Tadikonda mandal on Tuesday. It was constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Union government was giving top priority for health and improving infrastructure in the medical sector.

Regarding the NEET examination, Minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas said he has taken it up under Article 371-D with the Central government which responded positively. Expressing his happiness over the inauguration of the hostel buildings and Rural Health Training Centre, he said that the performance of the government hospitals improved considerably in the state.

Later, Union Minister Nadda inspected the Urban Health Centre at Srinivasaraothota in the city and scrutinised the OP Register, laboratory and the out-patient ward. He said the state government converted 22 PHCs in the city into E-PHCs rendering better medical services.

Commissioner for Medical and Health Sujatha Sharma, MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy, Joint Collector Kristhika Shukla were present on the occasion.
