Complaint against former MLA
Industrialist Rajan Babu lodged a complaint with Dwaraka zone police on Monday against former MLA of Ylamanchili UV Ramana Murthy Raju, popularly known as Kannababu, alleging that he had threatened to kill him. He also alleged that the former MLA manhandled him and his driver. Dwaraka police are verifying the complaint to register a case against Kannababu.
Visakhapatnam: Industrialist Rajan Babu lodged a complaint with Dwaraka zone police on Monday against former MLA of Ylamanchili UV Ramana Murthy Raju, popularly known as Kannababu, alleging that he had threatened to kill him.
He also alleged that the former MLA manhandled him and his driver. Dwaraka police are verifying the complaint to register a case against Kannababu.
The complainant said he gave a loan of Rs 50 lakh to Kannababu in 2010. As he was delaying in repayment, Rajan Babu went to his house on Saturday and asked for the money.
Instead of responding to his request, Kannababu got enraged and told him to get out of the house. He also threatened to kill him. The former MLA’s driver threw Rajan Babu out of the house.Babu told reporters that Kannababu has given several dates to return the money but never honoured them.
