It was their respective relatives who had suspected that the infants were changed and they reported it to the concerned doctor named Dr. Sudha. The hospital management found out the mistake after viewing the CC camera footage and advised the parents to exchange the babies of each other. But the parents of the both children did not agree to this suggestion.

Now the case has reached the Collector, Vivek Yadav who directed C. Padmaja, District Medical and Health Officer to solve the issue. The DMHO visited the hospital and got the entire information from both parents and recorded their statements too. Later as per the wish of the parents of the infants, she decided to conduct DNA tests to clarify their doubts.

Later DMHO told The Hans India “We will clarify their doubt by conducting DNA tests on the babies and their parents. It will come within few days and till then the babies would be looked after by the hospital management. The parents of the children are feeding them now” she informed.
