APEPDCL (AP Eastern Power Distribution Company) chairman and managing Director M M Nayak asked staff to give wide publicity to the newly-added apps Bharath QR and UPI (Unified Payment Interface) among the consumers of the APEPDCL jurisdiction.

While addressing the inaugural programme training camp at ATC building of APEPDCL corporate office on Tuesday on these apps for the employees of EROs and revenue cashiers of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts, Nayak said that staff should provide better services while discharging their duties and inform the consumers to make use of this app and pay the electricity bills in an easy manner without waiting at bill centres and save their time.
As per the Central government decision that all payments be made online to ensure cent per cent cashless transactions, the apps were introduced for consumer convenience in addition to the existing payment modes, the CMD said.
