Preserve folk culture: Suddala Ashok Teja

Rajamahendravaram: Lyricist Suddala Ashok Tejasaid that his recent Amaravathi lyricis dedicated to Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), in which the importance of 13 districts were tagged. Participating in 'Antarjaateeya Janapata Vignana Dinotsavam' held at varsity campus hereon Tuesday, he said the roots of our culture and literature were in the folk literature.

“Folk songs played key role for many revolutions and agitations and served as weapons,” he said. He said books would tell us about the universe without any visa and advised the students to inculcate the habit of reading books. “The students should work hard to achieve their goals. It is the duty of everyone to protect folk culture, which is the need of the hour,” he added.
