Anantapur: Joint Collector Syed Khaja Mohiuddin on Wednesday called upon people to emulate the ideals and sacrifices and commitment to the cause of freedom struggle made by the first chief minister of AP Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu. Participating in the 145th birth anniversary celebrations of the freedom fighter here, the joint collector said that Prakasam Pantulu was born on August 23, 1872 in a humble village in Prakasam district.
He stood before the Simon Commission and dared them to shoot him by showing his chest to them. DRO Malleshwari advised the participants to work for people's welfare and draw inspiration from Prakasam Pantulu and place the district on the top in the State on the welfare front.
