Tirupati: Lok Satta Party (LSP) state president Bhesetti Babji has criticised both the ruling and opposition parties for damaging the image of Nandyal.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, he said Nandyal Assembly constituency has a reputation of sending the political stalwarts like Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, PV Narasimha Rao and others to the Parliament. Both TDP and YSRCP have tarnished the image of the constituency during the by-election.
He said, it was strange that the Chief Minister, Ministers and MLAs were confined to poll campaign in Nandyal segment by setting aside all the issues related to people of other parts of the state. The two main political parties have killed the democracy with their blackmail and caste based politics. During the campaign, hundreds of crores and liquor have flown in Nandyal constituency.
Still, the Election Commission did not take action on any party. The committee led by the state general secretary of Lok Satta, Kalluri Balasubramanyam has collected all the evidence in Nandyal to file a complaint to the Central Election Commission and Governor. Apart from Kalluri Balasubramanyam, city unit president Bellamkonda Suresh, Rama Rao, Reddeppa, Satyanarayana and Hemadri have participated.
