The central team reviewed every department under four faculties such as Education, Darsanas, Veda-Vedangas and Sahitya & Samskriti in detail for the past two days.

Tirupati: Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) Vice-Chancellor (V-C) Prof V Muralidhara Sharma said on Wednesday the visit of the UGC Review Committee to the RSVP was fruitful. The central team reviewed every department under four faculties such as Education, Darsanas, Veda-Vedangas and Sahitya & Samskriti in detail for the past two days.

The team was headed by Prof Ark Nath Chaudhary, VC of Sri Somanath Sanskrit University with its members Prof C Uma Vaidya, Prof G Viswanathan, Prof Purna Banerjee and Deeksha Rajput, Deputy Secretary from UGC, New Delhi.

They have toured the entire campus of the Vidyapeetha including hostels, health centre, indoor stadium and playground. They had interaction session with faculty, non-teaching staff and students. On Wednesday evening, the team was spellbound after seeing the Yoga demonstration by the students, societal activities of the National Service Scheme through PowerPoint presentation, students melodious singing of Sanskrit songs and a classical Odissi dance by Anish, a M Phil scholar.

Prof Ark Nath Chowdhary reiterated that they are very much impressed with activities and programmes and observed that the Vidyapeetha in all spheres is having enormous strength to go ahead with their on-going programmes.

The programme was attended by the Registrar Prof C Umashankar, the Dean of Sahitya and Samskriti Prof Ch P Satyanaryana, Prof Deepta, Prof Prahlad R Joshi, Prof N Latha, P Nagamuni Reddy, Prof Venkat Rao, Dr Saranya Kumar, Dr Jyothi, Dr Rajendra Reddy and others.
