Tanuku: SKSD Mahila Kalasala Secretary & Correspondent Chitturi Subbarao on Saturday called upon different sections of society to join hands to bring gender equality.

Speaking at the Women’s Equality Day and Freshers Day celebrations on the college premises, Subbarao said that there should be a change in the society and mindset of people in this regard.

He called upon the students to continue the Fresher’s Day spirit until the end of their academic year and wished them good success in their future.

Chief Guest, poet and academic scholar, Kota Narasimham stressed the importance of equalitarian society. Dr P Aruna, Principal, Degree College, stressed the importance of abolishing gender bias. College treasurer Nandigam Sudhakar suggested the students to utilise the library and gain knowledge.
