Heavy rains have disrupted the rail services leading to cancellation of several trains passing through Andhra Pradesh. A release from Waltair Division on Saturday said due overflowing of storm water on railway track in Katihar Division of North Frontier Railway and causing breaches, several trains passing through East Coast Railway jurisdiction have been cancelled.

Visakhapatnam: Heavy rains have disrupted the rail services leading to cancellation of several trains passing through Andhra Pradesh. A release from Waltair Division on Saturday said due overflowing of storm water on railway track in Katihar Division of North Frontier Railway and causing breaches, several trains passing through East Coast Railway jurisdiction have been cancelled.

The cancelled trains include Kamakhya-Bangalore Cantt Express scheduled to leave Kamakhya on August 29, Guwahati-Bangalore Express scheduled to leave Guwahati on August 28 and August 29, Guwahati-Secunderabad Express scheduled to leave Guwahati on August 31, Guwahati-Trivandrum Express scheduled to leave Guwahati on August 30, Kamakhya-Yesvantpur Express scheduled to leave Kamakhya on August 30, Kamakhya-Puri Express scheduled to leave Kamakhya on August 31, Guwahati-Secunderabad special train scheduled to leave Guwahati on August 28, Trivandrum-Guwahati Express scheduled to leave Trivandrum on August 27 and September 3, Tambaram/Chennai Egmore-Guwahati express scheduled to leave Tambaram on August 28, Kanyakumari-Dibrugarh Express scheduled to leave Kanyakumari on August 3, Trivandrum-Guwahati Express scheduled to leave Trivandrum on August 29 and Tambaram-Dibrugarh Express scheduled to leave Tambaram on August 31.

Five special trains have been launched in view of these cancelled trains to various destinations, the release added.
