Pithapuram: Speaking at the concluding session of a training programme for para-legal volunteers, 12th additional district judge G Lakshminarasimha Reddy observed that the legal system was being run with the aim of rendering justice to all sections of people.

Reddy said that special laws have been incorporated in the legal system to protect SCs, STs, women, children, unorganised labour and minorities. “It is everyone’s responsibility to honour these laws, along with fundamental rights,” he said.
The judge said protection as per law was being extended to all social sections.

He pointed out the people belonging to weaker sections could lodge complaints directly in courts if injustice is meted out to them. “The courts could appoint a special advocate for their benefit if necessary to ensure justice. At the same time, orders issued by the government could be enforced for ensuring justice”.

Among those who addressed the volunteers were Junior Civil Judge K Haribabu, Bar Association president Piratla Bhanumurthy, AGP Syed Mahbub Ali and advocates Ch Ramani, Saka Nageswara Rao.The training was provided on laws for children, women and labourers, laws for unorganised labour and ways and means of securing government documents. Lawyers also gave lectures on various other topics.
