A free unique pattern of education system Balavikas, which was started by Sri Satya Sai Baba for the budding children in the age group of 6 to 15 years, was restarted at Sri Satya Sai Mandir here on Sunday. To cultivate and habituate ethical values right from the sixth year, the Balavikas is organising special classes to the children.

Visakhapatnam: A free unique pattern of education system Balavikas, which was started by Sri Satya Sai Baba for the budding children in the age group of 6 to 15 years, was restarted at Sri Satya Sai Mandir here on Sunday. To cultivate and habituate ethical values right from the sixth year, the Balavikas is organising special classes to the children.

In Balavikas, the young minds will know how to respect parents, teachers and others, pay due attention to studies, behaviour in school, society, develop self-confidence, good manners and humility are a few among several ethical practices. The classes will be held every Sunday at the mandir located in Sector-2 in Ukkunagaram (Visakhapatnam Steel Plant township).

Balavikas was renamed from Bala Vihar in 1971 redefining the education system. The training modules were developed, research went deeper and with nine years non-formal education system for children enhancing their learning to become role models.

Balavikas classes are conducted with the main objective of initiating the child into a course of character building by developing self-discipline. In-charge of education wing of Balavikas Jayashree Ganeshan and faculty Balvikas Jaya Kameswari, Aruna Jayaram, Kalpana, Radha, CSN Raju, Shyam, Bhaskar, V Krishna, Subbaraju and parents were present.
