Nikhil, Varshini selected for state chess tourney

Y Sai Nikhil and M Varshini bagged first prizes in the selection tournament organised by Visakhapatnam District Chess Association for boys and girls of Under – 11 age category at Vagdevi School in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. While Arjun Krishnan Suresh and A Swathi stood second in both the categories.
Visakhapatnam: Y Sai Nikhil and M Varshini bagged first prizes in the selection tournament organised by Visakhapatnam District Chess Association for boys and girls of Under – 11 age category at Vagdevi School in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
While Arjun Krishnan Suresh and A Swathi stood second in both the categories.
These boys and girls, who stood first and second positions will take part in the state Under – 11 boys & girls selections in Kurnool from September 22.
Vagdevi School correspondent presented the prizes to the winners in the presence of school principal Sailaja, chief arbiter MVS Prasad, Vamsi Krishna, Bhayya Srinivas. They wished the players all the success in the upcoming state selections
