With the continuous lead TDP bagging in the counting for Nandyal by-polls, YSR Congress Candidate Shilpa Mohan Reddy seems to be heading towards a poll debacle.

Earlier, the YSRCP candidate had challenged during the election campaign that he would be quitting politics if he faces failure in the Nandyal by-polls.

However, after witnessing TDP's domination in the polls, Shilpa Mohan Reddy left the counting station when the media quizzed him whether he was going to keep his challenge and resign.

Shilpa Mohan Reddy later thanked the party cadre and leaders for working with during the byelections and went on to allege that TDP used money power to win the election.

Meanwhile, Congress failed to get even a 1000 votes at the end of 10 rounds in Nandyal.

So far, TDP has garnered 59,452 votes while YSRCP got 39,191 votes.
