Speaking on the occasion, they said that insurance is not a service and it is not appropriate to increase taxes on premiums. The imposed GST burden will indirectly affect the policy holders.

Speaking on the occasion, they said that insurance is not a service and it is not appropriate to increase taxes on premiums. The imposed GST burden will indirectly affect the policy holders.

People facing hardships due to increased taxes, Raghunath Reddy demanded the government to scrap GST on premiums. On the occasion, LIC employees’ union leaders and women leaders also signed a memorandum referring to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Division leaders J Raghu, women leaders Y Srivani, Padmavathi, Vasundhara, Chandrakala, Swarna Kumari, Avadanam Srinivas, Pakiraiah, Srinivas Kumar, R Srinivasulu and Narsaiah, PKGS Unit leaders Kalyan and Dawood Basha took part in the programme.
