Kakinada: In a startling allegation, Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham held Chief Minister N Chandrababu responsible for communal unrest in the state.

Addressing a press conference, here on Monday, the Kapu leader said that he was not afraid of cases foisted against him. “I have faith in law and will honour it,” he asserted. Taking a dig at the Chief Minister, Mudragada accused the former of paying much interest on Polavaram Project for his own personal gains. “He should stop blowing trumpet on Polavaram. It is a shame that police attacked our community activists even though they are protesting in a peaceful way,” he stated.

He accused the government officials of blocking internet in villages. “Are we in British rule,” he wondered and noted that the DGP’s statements were also provoking.

Mudragada clarified that he stopped the padayatra at Veeravaram village and returned because DIG, SP and OSD urged him several times to stop. He informed that he would announce his future plan after the meeting with Kapu JAC leaders on Wednesday. Kapu JAC leaders Akula Rama Krishna, Gunda Venkata Ramana, Areti.Prakash and others were also present.
