Amaravati: The architects from the firm Shapoorji Pallonji have met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday at the Secretariat and presented designs for the Amaravati Iconic Twin-Tower, the design strategy, the context and the composition planned for the property.

The towers will comprise office spaces (55-57per cent), shopping areas (12-13 per cent), hotel (12 per cent) and service apartments (8 per cent). The Chief Minister reviewed the designs, and gave the architects some feedback to work on. “Not just the façade, but the activities we have, must attract tourists. We need to apply the best of business sense to capitalise on different activities”, he said.

The Chief Minister said that he wants a case study done on the top 10 towers, about their compositions. He said that the team must derive inspiration out of iconic towers across the world like Burj Khalifa in Dubai or others in Singapore and Malaysia. He also suggested that the towers must complement the greenery, the water-front, the dynamic personality of the Andhra citizen and the ambition to be technologically advanced.
