They also said people undoubtedly rejected the violent attitude of YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Amaravati: Expressing happiness over victory in Nandyal byelection, the state ministers said it was a referendum on the last three-year-rule of Telugu Desam Party. They also said people undoubtedly rejected the violent attitude of YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The ministers and Telugu Desam Party leaders shared their happiness with the Chief Minister.

Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister K E Krishna Murthy said TDP’s victory in Nandyal was a clear mandate for the three-year rule of Chandrababu Naidu. People supported development and welfare and the same results would be repeated in 2019 general elections too. He said people taught a lesson to Jagan Mohan Reddy who had made acerbic comments against Chief Minister during election campaign.
“Jagan should believe in people to win in elections and not depend on strategists like Prasanth Kishor” he said. Minister for Women and Child Welfare Paritala Sunitha termed the byelection result a big blow to Jagan Mohan Reddy and people did not take him into confidence even he disparaged Chief Minister with his derogatory comments. “The YSR Congress party will be empty with the master stroke given by Nandyal voters. People observed the difference between Chief Minister’s developmental and peaceful attitude and Jagan’s violent behaviour.
They definitely rejected the opposition leader” she said.Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said people had rejected the offensive comments of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. “Jagan would definitely be rejected by public in 2019 too if he is reluctant to learn a lesson from Nandyal election” he commented. The byelection proved people’s confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
Excise Minister K S Jawahar thanked Dalit voters in Nandyal for their overwhelming support to leadership of Chandrababu Naidu. “The present victory will be a tonic to Chief Minister to fulfil people’s dreams on construction of Amaravati and Polavaram project as people supported development and welfare of TDP government” he said. He also said Jagan Mohan Reddy proved his political ignorance in the Nandyal elections by belittling Chief Minister, he said.
Home Minister N Chinarajappa expressed confidence that the Nandyal byelection victory would be repeated in Kakinada Municipal elections too. Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao demanded that Jaganmohan Reddy apologise to the CM for his objectionable comments even after overwhelming victory in Nandyal byelection. Ministers P Pulla Rao and Kala Venkata Rao also expressed happiness over Nandyal victory.
