The 22-year-old archer from Vijayawada won the Arjuna Award at very early age and made Vijayawadians proud of her success. Narasapuram MP Gokaraju Gangaraju, Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association vice-president K Pattabhi Ram, top officials of K L University and others welcomed Jyothi Surekha. Jyothi Surekha is the first woman archer from South India to win Arjuna award.
