Collector directs bankers to reach kharif loan target

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmi Kantham directed the bankers to release Rs 320 crore agriculture loans as per kharif action plan by September 15. Participating in the bankers meeting here on Tuesday, he urged the bankers to grant loans to the farmers.
He said that paddy cultivation was completed in 3.10 lakh hectares in Krishna district which was 1.5 lakh hectares higher compared to previous year. He also asked the bankers to complete targets of various welfare schemes by September 5.
