German publishing house publishes Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology professor’s research book
Chairman of Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology Vasireddy Vidyasagar in a press release said that Lambert Academic Publishing Company based in Germany published a research book titled ‘An Automated MRI Segmentation for Brains with Tumors and MS Lesions’ authored by senior professor Dr MY Bhanumurthy of the department of ECE.
Guntur: Chairman of Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology Vasireddy Vidyasagar in a press release said that Lambert Academic Publishing Company based in Germany published a research book titled ‘An Automated MRI Segmentation for Brains with Tumors and MS Lesions’ authored by senior professor Dr MY Bhanumurthy of the department of ECE.
The chairman said that VVIT encourages their faculty to work on cutting-edge research in diverse fields of engineering and science for the benefit of the society. Speaking on the occasion, Dr MY Bhanumurthy said that this book would help researchers working in the field of bio-medical image pto understand and formulate complex classification and segmentation tasks of brain MR images.
The author further elaborated that brain tissue segmentation from the magnetic resonance (MR) images is having considerable importance in the medical research field. It has been useful in many applications such as detection of tumors, measuring tumor volume and its response to therapy, detection of multiple sclerosis (MS) lesions in young adults, alzheimer’s and dementia. The management, principal, staff and students congratulated Dr MY Bhanumurthy for publishing a valuable research book.
