Kakinada Corporation polls: TDP confident of winning 37 divisions
Kakinada Municipal Corporation polls have wrapped up on Tuesday and the results are expected on September 1.

According to the TDP, the party is confident of winning 37 divisions. Also, the intelligence report has strengthened their claim as the report suggests that over 45,000 Kapu voters chose to vote for TDP.
Nearly 64 percent of voters excercised their right to vote in the Kakinada Corporation Polls. The elections were held for 48 divisions from the total of 50.
Chief Minister and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu directed the responsibilities of Kakinada municipal polls to Ministers Prathipati Pulla Rao, N Chinna Rajappa, and Yanamala Ramakrishnudu while the YSRCP chief YS Rajasekhara Reddy gave the responsibility of winning majority divisions to MP Vijay Sai Reddy.
