Heavy rains lashed the district and surroundings following a low pressure over Odisha and Chattisgarh on Tuesday. The system moved to Madhya Pradesh and a low pressure now spread across East Central Bay of  Bengal adjoining north coastal Andhra.Â
Visakhapatnam: Heavy rains lashed the district and surroundings following a low pressure over Odisha and Chattisgarh on Tuesday. The system moved to Madhya Pradesh and a low pressure now spread across East Central Bay of Bengal adjoining north coastal Andhra.
The low lying areas in the city were inundated and normal life was affected in the city in the afternoon. The worst hit areas were under One Town and adjoining Poorna Market and Old Bus stand. However, there was no loss to property or life in any part of the district. City recieved 7 cms of rain, the highest in the season.
