British Deputy High Commissioner for AP and Telangana states Andrew Fleming made a courtesy call on the Speaker at his chamber in the Assembly premises at Velagapudi on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Kodela informed him about the development activities taken up by the State government. He said that the State made rapid strides under Swachh Andhra Pradesh programme. The Speaker pointed out that 20,000 individual toilets were built in 120 days in Sattenapalli constituency in Guntur district.

Similarly, modernisation of graveyards is also taking place across the State, he said. Kodela informed the Deputy High Commissioner that a big hospital is under construction at Amaravati with India-UK collaboration.

While referring to National Women Parliament which was held at Pavitra Sangamam, he said that Amaravati Declaration will be released soon which will be a road map for the development of women in the country.
