Amaravati: Minister for civil supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao expressed confidence that TDP would clinch 38 to 40 wards in Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC) polls and it would be a big victory to the party after 20 years.

Pulla Rao said the result of Kakinada would be another big blow to YSR Congress party and its leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy.Addressing a press conference at Secretariat on Wednesday, the minister said the Nandyal win would be repeated in Kakinada as people were supporting the development and welfare policies of the government. “Nandyal voters taught a lesson to Jagan. They are fed up of his violent politics and it will be the same in Kakinada” he said.

“Jagan and his party leaders are accusing Chief Minister and TDP leaders for their inability in Nandyal. The fact is that the people undoubtedly rejected Jagan and his violent attitude. They also made it clear that Jagan is also unfit for the role of Opposition leader too,” Pulla Rao noted.

He said the YSRC legislators were in dilemma with the election result of Nandyal and it would be difficult to Jagan to keep them with him.
