Motivate ryots to give lands for state capital

Guntur: Collector Kona Sasidhar on Wednesday directed the revenue officials to motivate farmers of Lingayapalem, Penumaka and Kondamarajupalem, who refuse to give their lands under the land pooling system to the government for the construction of state capital.

Speaking to revenue officials over video-conference from the collectorate, he directed the officials to explain the benefits given by the government for giving their land for the construction of capital. He said the farmers who gave their lands under the LPS got so many benefits and added that the farmers would be relocated under the Land Acquisition Act if their land was acquired for the same.
