Amaravati: Plans are afoot to develop Kotappakonda in Guntur district to attract more tourists. Disclosing the details to media persons at Secretariat on Wednesday culture and tourism department secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena, APTDC MD Himanshu Shukla said that during their meeting with Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao they have discussed about the development activities to be taken up at Kotappa Konda, with an aim to make it as one of the major tourist attraction in the state.
Meena said that special plans will be drawn and implemented at Kotappa Konda as per the aspirations of the Speaker.
Earlier, consultants like BDP, Sites Concept and Capital have made a power point presentation on the designs drawn for the development of Polavaram and Gandikota sites. Meena said that as part of tourism development they are planning to develop Polavaram and Gandikota as major attraction centres of the state.
