Private travels bus catches fire,passengers safe
A private travels bus caught fire due to short-circuit on its way from Kadapa to Vijayawada at Mohammad Puram in Hanumanthunipadu mandal of Prakasam district in the wee hours of Wednesday. The bus was completely burnt even before the fire tenders reached the spot.

An AC bus belongs to Meghana Travels started in Kadapa on Tuesday night with 40 passengers and is scheduled to reach Vijayawada byWednesday morning. The driver noticed fire near Mohammad Puram and immediately stopped the vehicle on the road side and alerted the passengers.
The passengers immediately vacated the bus. By the time, fire engines reached the spot, the bus was totally burnt. The passengers angered when the travels management failed to make any alternative arrangement for passengers to send them to their respective destinations.
The passengers made their own arrangements to reach to Ongole and continued their journey. The police and fire department have registered cases and investigating the cause of fire.
