Speaker assures all facilities to house panels
State Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has assured to provide all facilities to the Assembly committees.He inaugurated the first meeting of Public Accounts Committee(PAC), Public Undertaking Committee(PUC) and Estimates Committee at the conference hall in the first floor of Assembly building on Wednesday.
Amaravati: State Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has assured to provide all facilities to the Assembly committees.He inaugurated the first meeting of Public Accounts Committee(PAC), Public Undertaking Committee(PUC) and Estimates Committee at the conference hall in the first floor of Assembly building on Wednesday.
Responding to the issues raised by members and chairmen of different committees, he said that it is his responsibility to provide facilities to all the 19 Assembly committees. Though each committee has its own importance, the three committees concerned with financial affairs are more important.
He explained about the rules and regulations as some of the members were newly appointed. He said that no member can question the government’s policies and the committees should confine themselves to their areas and submit their reports after studying the projects and amount spent.
He informed them that due to space shortage he couldn`t provide rooms in the Assembly building and he will try to accommodate them in the newly constructed building adjacent to it.PAC chairman Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Estimates Committee chairman Modugula Venugopal Reddy, PUC chairman Kagita Venkata Rao, members of all the three committees, Assembly special secretary PPK Ramacharyulu, former secretary K Satyanarayana were participated.
