Houses under NTR Rural Housing Scheme to be ready by Oct 2
Minister for Rural Housing Kalava Srinivasulu said one lakh houses under the NTR Rural Housing Scheme would be readied and house warming ceremony would be performed for those houses on October 2. Srinivasulu said foundation stone would be laid for construction of another five lakh houses soon.

Addressing a press conference at Secretariat on Thursday, the Minister said the Housing department was working with an aim to provide houses to 10 people in the State in a phased manner.
He said two lakh houses would be built per year and priority would be given to completion of houses under Indira Awaas Yojana scheme which were stalled due to various reasons for some time. He said the Chief Minister announced to release Rs 2.5 lakh to those delayed houses and sanctioned Rs 500 crore for the purpose.
