  • Says Jagan can become chief minister if the Kadapa district is carved into a separate state
  • TDP never indulges in shelling out money to attract voters and it is YSRCP which distributed money in the byelection

Addressing media here on Thursday, the Minister also objected to the film actress statement that YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy as ‘CM in waiting’ for the state. “Jagan can become chief minister if the Kadapa district was carved into a separate state,” he quipped.

Like godman Dera, jail life was waiting for Jagan who indulged in amassing one lakh crore of rupees, he added. Commenting on Jagan’s criticism against TDP spending money to win Nandyal byelection, Ravindra said that TDP never indulged in shelling out money to attract voters. It was YSRCP which distributed money in the byelection and caught by the TDP camp, he said.
The plan of the Opposition leader to create panic had boomeranged as people exuded confidence in TDP and gave victory to party in the Nandyal byelection, he claimed.

Ravindra stated the State government had introduced a new scheme under which poor and downtrodden families would get Rs 25,000 financial assistance for marriage. The scheme was first of its kind in the state, he added.

Stating that people are with the TDP, he said that Nandyal result would be repeated in ensuing 2019 elections, leave alone Kakinada election. If Jagan had any confidence to win hearts of public he should resign from Pulivendula and contest again to know his fate, he pointed out.

He strongly objected to the Opposition leader’s call to MLAs, who switched loyalties, to step down and contest again from their respective constituencies. People had been closely observing Jagan’s unsavoury language against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and they would teach him a fitting lesson at appropriate time, he said.
