TDP set to emerge victorious in Kakinada Corporation Polls

Telugu Desam Party is all set to emerge victorious in the Kakinada Municipal Corporation elections after three decades. TDP has been taking the lead from the time counting commenced on Friday and the party candidate is likely to adorn the Mayor post.
Telugu Desam Party is all set to emerge victorious in the Kakinada Municipal Corporation elections after three decades. TDP has been taking the lead from the time counting commenced on Friday and the party candidate is likely to adorn the Mayor post.
With a voter turnout of about 67 percent, the Kakinada Civic polls were conducted for 48 divisions in 196 polling stations. TDP is now in the lead with winning 26 divisions while YSR Congress is leading in five.
TDP contested in 39 divisions, BJP in nine while YSRCP contested in all divisions.
The counting of votes began with 14 tables being arranged at Rangaraya medical college in Kakinada.
