The government of India has selected six teachers from primary school and three from secondary school from Andhra Pradesh for presenting National Awards 2017 for the year 2016.

Amaravati: The government of India has selected six teachers from primary school and three from secondary school from Andhra Pradesh for presenting National Awards 2017 for the year 2016.

The teachers selected for National Awards 2017 from primary school includes Gorantla Srinivasa Rao, SA, MPUPS, BK Palem, Kakumanu mandal, Guntur district, Ch Srinivasa Rao, SGT, MPPPS, Jagurupadu, Kadium mandal, East Godavari district, N Vimalakumari, SGT, MPUPS, Pamulapadu, Tadikonda mandal, Guntur district, Yerra Chakravarthi, SGT, MPPS, Maredupudi, Anakapalli mandal, Visakhapatnam district, G Ravi, SA, MPUPS, Yendada, Chinagadili mandal, Visakhapatnam district, Chaganti Srinivasa Rao, SGT, MPPS, Manukondavaripalem, Chilakaluripet mandal, Guntur district.

The teachers selected from secondary schools include B Sankara Rao, SA, ZPHS, GC Penta, Vizianagaram district, D Dharmaraju, SA, ZPHS, Chagallu, West Godavari district, Reddy Lokanadha Reddy, HM, ZPHS, Tyajampudi, Deverapalli mandal, West Godavari district.

The award presentation ceremony will be held on Teachers’ Day on September 5 at Vignan Bhavan, New Delhi. Meanwhile, School Education Department has selected 30 teachers for awarding the State Best Teacher Awards and 28 teachers under the category of National Foundation Teachers Welfare. In total, 58 teachers under various categories will be awarded the Best Teacher Awards for 2017.

Each awardee will be presented with a medal, certificate, shawl and cash award of Rs 20,000. The awards presentation programme will be held on September 5 at A Plus Convention Hall, Vijayawada and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will participate as chief guest.
