Chief of Staff Committee pays visit to Hindustan Shipyard Limited

Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman, Chief of Staff Committee (CISC) Lieutenant General Satish Dua visited Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on Friday. Chairman and Managing Director of HSL Rear Admiral LV Sarat Babu received the CISC and briefed about the capabilities and facilities of the shipyard as well as about various shipbuilding, ship and submarine repair projects.

Chairman and Managing Director of HSL Rear Admiral LV Sarat Babu received the CISC and briefed about the capabilities and facilities of the shipyard as well as about various shipbuilding, ship and submarine repair projects.
The company has posted a turnover of Rs 629 crore and profit of Rs 54 crore in the past fiscal. The HSL has registered a record in registering the profits, which is the best since inception despite having a very lean order book position when compared with other DPSUs and that too without any financial grant from the government.
